There are three main sections of the site: New Info, Course policies and documents, and Writing.

“New Info” is a blog style page. On this page I’ll post all updates, reminders, notifications about the availability of feedback and/or grades….basically any information that I think you need to have. The page is enabled for comments so feel free to ask and respond to peers there. I’ll be keeping an eye on it so it’s a good way to get a response from me pretty quickly.

“Course policies and documents” is the home for a link to your full syllabus (syllabus is also on BB as a pdf), the class schedule, and class policies (grading, late submission of papers, revision, lateness and attendance, and food and drink). There’s a separate set of policies that are specific to Sophie students that you should be aware of. There won’t be mush action in this section except for the class schedule which does change from time to time. I will always post in New Info when I make a change to the class schedule, but you should consult the schedule fairly regularly to see what’s coming up and to check due dates.

“Writing” contains all the assignments, rubrics, and links to writing samples. This section is built progressively as we move through the semester. This means that the aforementioned material will be added as it becomes relevant. I like to focus on one assignment at a time. If you feel that you want all the assignments up front, let me know. I can post them if requested.
